Shanghai, August 11 (Gasgoo.com) Volkswagen AG is reported to start selling its six generation Golf model as of next year, Chinese newspaper Guangzhou Daily reported Monday.
The base price will be 16,500 euros at launch. VW has revealed earlier this month that the new Golf will be launched this October in Europe and then find its way to markets in Africa, Asia, Australia and North America.
The new generation Golf will come in four gasoline engine variants, the 1.0L /1.4 L three-cylinder engines, 1.4 TSI with an output of 200 kW and 2.0TFSI engine of 244 kW, according to the company's press release.
