Dongfeng Motor was sharply higher after Morgan Stanley said the stock is its top pick among the China auto counters.
The stock was up 0.11 hkd or 3.23 pct at 3.52, off a high of 3.63.
Morgan Stanley said Dongfeng Motor has brand diversification and consistent delivery of earnings growth.
The brokerage said it expects the company's interim results to contain a positive surprise.
