FAW Car Co Ltd said first half unaudited net profit was 505.77 mln yuan ($74.16 mln), up about 206 pct from the year-earlier audited result, due to a strong auto market, increased marketing efforts and cost controls.
In a brief statement filed with the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, the company said operating revenue rose about 76.16 pct year-on-year to 10.432 bln yuan.
Earnings per share stood at 0.3108 yuan, against 0.1016 yuan a year earlier.
The company is due to release audited first half financial results on Aug 28.
