Jianghuai Automobile recently announced that it would invest 450 million Yuan independently to build a new sedan production base of 50,000 annual outputs. The move indicates Jianghuai will be able to boost production to 250,000 annually.
Jianghuai plans to make use of the existing MPV and commercial vehicle bases, which produce 30,000 and 60,000 vehicles per year, and add more infrastructures to achieve the promotion.
Reports say research work on Jianghuai 2.4L C-class sedan has been furnished and will be put into small scale production; seven other Jianghuai new models based on B, A and A0 platforms are on track to be launched successively before 2010.
In addition, Jianghuai invests another 30million Yuan on a chassis division at Zhangjianggang of Jiangsu province to coordinate with this operation.
The company has also added the sedan model in its listing agenda and two more technical services and transactions are included.
